OMICRON - WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT IT:?
Coronaviruses are a vast collection of viruses that cause patients to get infected in mild, moderate, or severe ways. Following in the footsteps of Covid-19, recently DELTA, OMICRON is growing very fast manner.
Coronavirus has several variants, one of which is Omicron. In terms of research, the omicron has a wide-spreading range compared to COVID-19. Omicron was first discovered in South Africa.
OMICRON DISCOVERY:
World Health Organization (WHO) reported the discovery of a new variant on November 24, 2021. This new variant (SARS-CoV-2) was found in a specimen collected in Botswana on November 11, 2021, and in South Africa on November 14, 2021.
his new variant (SARS-CoV-2) was named OMICRON on November 26, 2021, and the first confirmed case of OMICRON in the United States was reported on December 1, 2021.
HOW MUCH SEVERE THE OMICRON IS:
Omicron is the variant of covid-19 and it has more easily spread than the original SARS-CoV-2 virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) expects that anyone infected with omicron can transfer the virus to others, even if they are vaccinated or don't have any symptoms.
SYMPTOMS OF OMICRON:
1. Cold
2. Shortness of breath
3. Vomiting
4. Sore Throat
5. Loss of taste and smell
6. Cough
7. Rash on skin
8. Red and Irritated eye
TEST AND TREATMENT:
If you have current infections, the doctor suggests you take Nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) and antigen tests for diagnostic purposes.
Researchers are trying to figure out how effective existing COVID-19 treatments are. Some treatments are expected to stay successful, while others may be less effective, due to Omicron's changing genetic makeup.
WE HAVE THE STRENGTH TO FIGHT OMICRON :
1. Social Distancing
2. Wearing Mask
3. Hand Hygiene
4. Should complete the vaccination with a booster
Be safe
Thank You Very Much
